The Ducks will welcome center Samuel Pahlsson back into their lineup for Sunday’s nationally televised game against the Detroit Red Wings at Joe Louis Arena, but they will be without veteran center Doug Weight.
Pahlsson had missed the past 21 games, since Christmas, because of abdominal inflammation. Weight, who apparently has been bothered by an unspecified “upper-body” injury for a week or two, was scheduled to receive a medical examination Sunday or Monday.
Left wing Travis Moen was not in the lineup Sunday, missing his fourth consecutive game after being hard-hit by flu-like symptoms.
The Ducks, winners of three consecutive games after having gone 0-2-1 to begin their eight-game road swing that followed the NHL all-star break, close the trip Tuesday against the Colorado Avalanche in Denver.
