Ducks winger Bobby Ryan and defenseman Ryan Whitney are among the 34 U.S. players invited to orientation camp this summer for the 2010 Olympics.
USA Hockey released the roster Tuesday in the first step toward forming the U.S. team for the Winter Games in Vancouver.  The camp is Aug.17-19 in Woodridge, Ill.
Ryan (right), 22, from Cherry Hill, N.J., comes off a breakout season in which he won the rookie scoring title (31 goals, 26 assists) despite playing in only 64 games.
Whitney, 26, who hails from Boston, joined the Ducks a week before the trade deadline and was part of a stellar defense that propelled the Ducks to the Western Conference semifinals.
The general manager of the U.S. team is former Ducks GM Brian Burke, and the coach is former Ducks coach Ron Wilson.
Among the goaltenders on the roster is Buffalo’s Ryan Miller, brother of Ducks forward Drew Miller.
