OK, this could no longer be ignored from our peripheral  …

The Bakersfield Condors, the Ducks’ East Coast Hockey League affiliate, is staging a tribute to Michael Jackson tonight with custom jerseys that honor the King of Pop.

The jerseys are in the style of a Jackson-like stage outfit, with jacket, suspenders and belt. The Condor is wearing a Jackson-style hat.

Also, players will wear one white glove. We’re not making this up.

Proceeds will benefit Mercy & Memorial Hospitals and Children’s Miracle Network.

We’re not making that up, either.
