Ducks prospect Nick Bonino will be out about a month with a dislocated shoulder.
The Boston University junior center suffered the injury in a 3-2 victory against Michigan on Oct.24.
“Right when I went down, I knew what was wrong,” Bonino told the College Hockey News.
“After they popped it back in, I said I was ready to go back in because my adrenaline was going. I didn’t really realize what I’d done. I sat up on the table, and the trainer said I was done for the night.”
Bonino and goaltender Timo Pielmeier came to the Ducks in a trade that sent Travis Moen and Kent Huskins to San Jose on March 4. The Ducks also got a conditional fourth-round pick in this year’s draft.
The 6-foot-1, 190-pound Bonino had 18 goals and 32 assists in 44 games last season and helped the Terriers win the NCAA title.
This season has really started well for Anaheim.
Yep, best season ever!
