Some late quick hits from Monday…
Ducks coach Randy Carlyle held a rare late afternoon practice to get his team acclimated to East Coast time.
The idea is to adjust to game-time conditions as Wednesday’s game will start at 4 p.m. PST.
The Ducks will travel most of Tuesday and probably won’t practice.
Carlyle had another reason for giving his team Sunday and Monday morning off:
“Coach went fishing,” Carlyle said.
Carlyle revealed he left after Saturday night’s game for a fishing trip in Bishop and returned Monday morning.
“I had a wonderful day in the mountains,” Carlyle said. “It was beautiful.”
How did it go?
“Very well,” he said.
On a serious note, goaltender Jean-Sebastien Giguere is set to return to the lineup. Carlyle said he will make a decision when after he sees what happens on Wednesday.
We’ll have more on that on Monday morning.
There were no changes in the line rushes…
Bobby Ryan-Ryan Getzlaf-Corey Perry
Joffrey Lupul-Saku Koivu-Teemu Selanne
Todd Marchant-Petteri Nokelainen-Mike Brown
Evgeny Artyukhin-Ryan Carter-George Parros-Erik Christensen
I bet he didn’t catch a damn thing….
Maybe a cold?
I doubt it Steben. I fish and deer hunt up in that area every year. There’s great fishing up there. I’m sure he caught some great sized trout!
So is Christensen being sent down or is just going to be a healthy scratch?
