I didn’t like him last season and I definitely don’t like him this season…oh ducks what to do what to do? Should Scotty be saying what Jiggy is? He is wearing the C but it doesn’t look like the players have a voice from their veterans. We know the team looks to Getz to set the tone now. Scotty, although a great skater etc etc etc no longer has the ‘calming effect’ he used to which is evident with the loads of frustration each player feels and must feel after 60mins.
I watched the Kings vs Panthers game and saw Jack J get drilled into the glass face first. There was definitely some reaction by the kings BUT and this is a huge fat BUT…they didn’t erase the penalty by committing one of their own!!! AMAZING!!! DUCKS PAY ATTENTION! It’s one thing to stand up for hard, dirty, or questionable hits but it’s another to blow up at every stoppage! Francois B nailed us by telling his new team (Leafs) ‘hey, just push them a little and watch them IMPLODE.” Don’t get me started on the rash of offensive zone penalties….
God i could go on forever….KEEP IT SIMPLE BOYS!!! Puck possession, smart passes, kill the dump and chase, and GET TRAFFIC IN FRONT OF THE NET WHILE CLEARING IT FROM YOUR OWN!!! BASICS!!! This is an amazing team ON PAPER…no one individual will save the TEAM…notice only 2-3 players are shining…that’s what happens. Good stats but the TEAM loses…get the idea? WORK TOGETHER!!! Sigh…and i’m spent

Sigh is right. It’s getting really hard to watch this team that we all love so much. I would just say to them that the idea is TO SCORE! Not to cycle behind the net for 45 seconds and then get off no shots. Or pass in front to um, NO ONE! The lack of creativity in the offensive zone is getting to me. And let’s try and not give up a bad goal right off the bat tonight-arrrrggghhh!

murray should have never traded o’dell for christiansen. he also shouldn’t have re-signed christensen this off-season. hopefully manitoba likes him enough to want to keep him, and hopefully calder and sharp do well for the ducks.

Eric Christensen goes on my list of guys I like but not likely to make it in the NHL. I look at his skill set and I’ll never figure out why he isn’t a 20 goal 50 pt player.

Once again the Ducks upper management makes a baffling decision. They just resigned this guy the past offseason and now they waive him????? He’s the same player he was last season… a decent 3rd line role player that hustles every game. What, did they think he was going to turn into Mario Lemieux or something??

GM Murray: Here’s a hint for you- Don’t trade for a player you’re going to waive. Either you guys didn’t do your scouting homework when you dealt for him or you guys are more rudderless than everyone thinks

Murray was trying to find another Sammy, but those are hard to come.
