A look at the Ducks by the numbers after their 3-2 loss to San Jose on Saturday night … numbers28

1-7: Jonas Hiller’s regular season record against San Jose. Hiller beat the Sharks four times in the playoffs last season.

2: Number of goals scored by Ducks defensemen (Scott Niedermayer, Ryan Whitney) this season prior to Thursday’s game against Tampa Bay.

3: Number of goals scored by Ducks defensemen the past two games, against Tampa Bay and San Jose (Niedermayer, Whitney, James Wisniewski).

7: Number of assists by San Jose winger Dany Heatley against the Ducks in the past four meetings.
